Over the past few years, Certopus has grown from a simple credential issuance tool into a complete digital credentials infrastructure. What started as a focused solution has evolved into a scalable ecosystem supporting automation, integrations, analytics, and enterprise-grade credential management.
This progress didn’t happen in isolation. It was shaped by the organizations, educators, institutions, and teams who trusted Certopus.
As Certopus matured, so did the value it delivers. With advanced automation, deeper integrations, structured analytics, enhanced onboarding support, and a more powerful credential management framework, the platform now serves a broader and more sophisticated range of use cases.
To reflect this evolution and to ensure long-term sustainability and continued innovation, we are updating our pricing structure. This change allows us to support higher volumes responsibly, maintain infrastructure quality, and continue investing in features and customer experience.
Why This Change Was Necessary
Earlier, our pricing had limited slabs. In some cases, there were only three tiers. The jump between those tiers was wide. If your volume increased slightly, you were pushed into a much larger pricing jump.
At higher volumes, the old structure wasn’t sustainable in the long term either.
That combination creates friction:
- Users feel forced to upgrade too aggressively.
- Higher volumes become inefficient.
- Custom pricing becomes messy.
Instead of stretching that model further, we redesigned it. Now, the pricing scales in a granular, structured way.
Existing Subscriptions Remain Unchanged
The updated pricing becomes effective on February 27, 2026. If you’re already subscribed, your current pricing and features remain locked in for as long as your subscription stays active.
There is no automatic transition to the new structure. Your existing plan continues exactly as agreed.
If you’re considering an upgrade, this is an opportunity to move before the revised pricing applies. Any upgrade completed before February 27, 2026, allows you to retain the current pricing under your subscription.

Annual Pricing Structure
Annual plans are structured for long-term growth, supporting both emerging programs and high-volume enterprise deployments.
A notable addition is the 250-credential annual Professional plan, offering smaller teams the flexibility to commit annually without stepping into larger slabs immediately. This tier did not previously exist.

Previously, pricing was structured around a limited number of volume tiers, which constrained flexibility as usage grew. The updated model introduces a far more granular volume structure across both monthly and annual plans.

Plan Evolution Overview
With this update, we’ve strengthened the Free plan, restructured how features are distributed between Standard and Professional, and clarified what Professional now fully includes.
Here’s how everything stands.
Free Account
The Free plan is now more capable and practical for real use, not just testing.
What’s included:
- 250 free credentials (renewed every year)
- AI-powered certificate and badge generation
- Event limit: 2 events
- A more flexible and improved overall experience
This makes the Free plan suitable for small cohorts, pilot programs, or early-stage credentialing needs without requiring an upgrade immediately.
From Standard to Professional
As part of the evolution, several capabilities that were previously available in Standard are now positioned under Professional.
This shift simplifies the structure and aligns advanced functionality under one comprehensive plan.
The features that now fall under Professional include:
- Extensive template library
- APIs
- Unlimited custom attributes
- Unlimited events
- Unlimited seats
- Social media links sent with each credential
- LMS integration
- Automation tool integration
- Onboarding with assisted setup
- Data insights and analytics
Instead of distributing advanced features across tiers, they are now consolidated within Professional for clarity and scalability.
For users on Standard, certain capabilities can still be added as add-ons:
- API access
- Integrations
- Additional events
- Additional seats
This provides flexibility without forcing an immediate full upgrade.
Professional Plan - All Inclusive by Design
The Professional plan is built as a complete, enterprise-ready solution. It is not a collection of base features with optional add-ons layered on top. It is a fully integrated plan that includes every advanced capability required to manage credentialing at scale.
When we say all-inclusive, we mean it.
There are no artificial caps on seats. No restrictions on events. No fragmented upgrades for APIs or integrations. Everything that enables automation, flexibility, reporting, and operational control is already included.
How to lock in your current price?
If you're already on one of our previous pricing plans, nothing changes for you.
- Your current pricing remains intact.
- Your features remain intact.
- Your billing structure remains intact.
There is no forced migration and no automatic transition to the new structure.
You will continue on your existing plan as long as your subscription remains active. The updated pricing applies only to new subscriptions or to customers who choose to cancel and move to a different plan.
We believe loyalty should be respected. That means honoring the commitments made under earlier plans.
